Samarth Woodcraft

Samarth Woodcraft is based at A-25-7, Manorath, in Sector No.20 of Krishna Nagar, Chinchwad. We have been working with wood in this same spot for a long time. The smell of fresh sawdust is usually the first thing you notice when you walk through the door. We make various things out of different types of timber, mostly practical items like window frames, small cabinets, or simple stools. It is a very hands-on job. We spend a lot of our time sanding down rough edges, cutting boards, and joining pieces of wood together. Our tools are well-used and have been with us for many years. We are not a big furniture showroom with bright lights and fancy displays. This is a real working shop. There is usually wood stacked up against the walls and projects in different stages of completion scattered around on the floor. We take our time with the work because you really cannot rush wood. If you make a mistake and cut it wrong, you usually have to start the whole piece over again. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything. People in Chinchwad just know where we are because we have been here so long. Sometimes we get odd requests for custom pieces, and we do our best to figure out how to build them. It is a quiet life except for the sound of the saws.
