Sairaj Motors

Open the gate every morning in Chinchwad 12. It’s usually quiet early on. The smell of oil and old parts is just something you get used to after years here. Sairaj Motors is where we spend most of our daylight hours. Most days it’s just us and the tools. People from around the neighborhood drop their vehicles off and tell us what’s making that weird clicking noise. We listen and then we get to work. It isn’t fancy. There’s a tea stall nearby that keeps us going when the afternoons get long. Sometimes the sun hits the floor just right and you realize how many hours you’ve put into this floor. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just fixing what breaks and making sure things run like they should. Chinchwad can be a busy place, especially with the traffic moving nearby, but inside the shop, it’s just the task at hand. We wipe our hands on old rags and move to the next job. There’s a lot of metal and grease involved. Sometimes the parts arrive late, and we just sit and wait, maybe chat with whoever is passing by. It’s a simple life. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The walls have some stains, and the fan makes a bit of noise, but it works. That’s how things go around here. You just show up, do the work, and close the doors when the sun goes down.
