Our setup here in Pune has a bit of a history behind it, tied back to when things really got moving after finishing up at Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology. That was back in 2002. It feels like a long time ago now when you look at how much the city has changed since then. I remember standing first with distinction, which was a big deal at the time and gave me a good push into the world of civil engineering. Now, we operate as Sahil Group. The address on our documents looks a bit like a resume snippet because it’s got those old dates and qualification details baked in, but it’s really just about the work we do every day. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees and fancy glass walls. It’s more of a hands-on operation where we use that engineering background to figure out practical problems. The office is usually quiet in the mornings, then it picks up as the day goes on and we start coordinating different tasks. We’ve seen the way buildings go up in this part of Maharashtra and we just try to do our bit. It’s a lot of calculating, checking plans, and making sure everything is square. Sometimes we spend more time on the road than at our desks. It’s a bit of a juggle, but that’s the life of an engineer here. We just keep moving forward, one project at a time and making sure things are done right for everyone involved.
