We are located up on the third floor of Shri Residency, right near Lohgad Chawk in the Bhangarwadi area of Lonavala. Being in a hill station like this is nice because the weather is usually much better than down in Pune city, though the mist can get quite thick. Our office, B-9, is just a plain room with some basic furniture. We’ve got some old steel cabinets where we store all the documents. It’s a bit of a walk up the stairs if the elevator is being cranky, but we don’t mind it much. The area around us is mostly residential, so it stays fairly peaceful during the weekdays. On weekends, the town gets packed with tourists, but they don't really come up to our floor. We mostly deal with the locals who have been around for generations. We don't have any big slogans or shiny posters on the walls. It’s just a place of work where we handle the records and talk to anyone who drops by with a question. The view outside isn't much, just some other buildings and the hills in the distance when it's clear. We keep our own tea supplies in a small cupboard. It’s a simple setup for a simple job. We’ve been here for a good while and plan to stay as long as the work keeps coming in.
