Our office for Sahara India Commercial Co. Ltd. is actually a house, H.No.-1240, located in Olkaiwadi. It is on the Kusgaon Road in Lonavala. Being in a residential area makes the workday feel a bit different than being in a city center. It’s much quieter here, except when the local dogs start barking or someone is moving cattle down the road. We use the front rooms for our work and keep the files stored in the back. Lonavala is famous for the fog and the rain, and being on Kusgaon Road, we see a lot of it. The roof leaks sometimes when the monsoon is heavy, so we have to move the desks around to stay dry. We aren't a big operation with hundreds of people. It’s just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. We handle the local commercial interests and keep track of the accounts. We make our own tea in the small kitchen and usually eat our lunch together. It’s a simple way of working. Most people who come by are locals who know us by name. We don't have a big polished reception area. If you come to the door, one of us will just get up and help you. It’s how things are done in this part of town. We just keep moving through the work day by day.
