Sahajkarta Foundation

Sahajkarta Foundation is located at A-35 on the second floor of Gulmohar Society. We are right on Aundh Road in the Bopodi area, at Survey Number 31. Gulmohar Society is a well-known spot, and being on the second floor gives us a bit of a view of the street. It’s a pretty standard residential-cum-commercial building, so it feels very integrated into the neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a security guard at our specific door. You just walk up the stairs and we are there. The office is one big room mostly, with a smaller side room for storage. We’ve got some mismatched chairs and desks that we’ve gathered over time. It’s not a polished corporate office by any means. We like the casual atmosphere because it makes it easier to talk to one another without being too formal. Aundh Road is always busy with traffic, so there is a constant sound of engines and people outside. We have a small balcony where some of us go to get a bit of fresh air during the afternoon. We don't follow a strict schedule with punch-in clocks; we just make sure the work gets done by the end of the day. It’s a relaxed but busy place to be. We have been in Bopodi for a while and we like the local vibe of the shops and people around us.
