Sagar Cycle Mart has been at Shop No. 182 in Kasba Peth for a long time. We’re right near the Navgrah Mandir, so it’s easy to find us if you’re familiar with the area. The shop is usually packed with cycles, tires, and spare parts, sometimes so much that it's hard to move around inside. We don't really mind the clutter though, it just shows we’ve got what people might need. It’s an old neighborhood with narrow streets, and you can always hear the bells from the temple nearby. We spend our days mostly fixing punctures, tightening chains, or helping someone pick out a new bike. It’s honest work and we like being part of the community here. The shop isn't modern or polished. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and there’s usually grease on our hands by noon. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track things; we just know where everything is. People stop by to chat as much as they do to get their cycles serviced. It gets hot in the summer and the shop stays pretty open to the street. We just take things as they come. If a kid needs their seat lowered or an old timer needs his brakes checked, we're here at the same spot every morning ready to work.
