Sagar Borewells

Sagar Borewells is based in Chinchwad, right at Shop No 3 near Dange Chowk. If you’ve ever been to Dange Chowk, you know how hectic it is with all the flyovers and the constant stream of trucks and cars. Our shop is close to the Ajanta Caves landmark, so it’s usually easy for people to find us even with all the chaos. It’s a practical location because we have to move our drilling rigs and equipment in and out quite often. The office itself is just a small room where we keep our maps and the keys to the trucks. It’s usually got a bit of mud on the floor from people coming in from the field, but that’s just the nature of the borewell business. We spend a lot of our time out on sites, so the shop is more of a home base. We have a few old chairs for customers to sit on while we talk about where they need to dig. It’s honest work, getting water out of the ground. We don't have any fancy sales people; it’s usually just the owner or one of the senior drillers handling the inquiries. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook during the dry season. We just take it one job at a time and try to keep the machines running smooth. It’s a noisy, dusty life, but it’s what we know. We close up when the work is finished for the day.
