New Star Pune

Our place is over in Sadashiv Peth, right on Kumbethkar Road near Jondhale Chock. If you know Pune, you know how these streets get. It’s a busy corner and there is always something happening right outside the door. We are at number 537. The building has been here for quite some time, and you can tell by the way the walls look and how the floor has worn down in certain spots where people stand the most. We mostly spend our days handling whatever work comes through. It’s not fancy inside, just some desks and shelves and the equipment we need. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, or the traffic noise gets so loud we have to shout a little to hear each other. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. The Jondhale Chock area is always full of students and workers, so the energy is quite high most of the time. We try to keep the shop organized, but with so many things moving in and out, it often looks a bit cluttered by the time evening rolls around. We don’t mind it much. It feels like a real workspace that way. Most of our regulars know exactly where to find us. It’s a simple setup, and we like it because it’s close to everything else we need in the city. We just show up, do the work, and head home like everyone else around here.
