Our shop is right in the middle of all that. We have been at 1108 for a long time, and the building itself has a lot of history. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything polished. It’s a practical space filled with the goods we sell. People come to us because they know we are here and we have what they need for their daily lives. The atmosphere in the Peth is always loud with honking and people shouting, so it can get a bit overwhelming sometimes. We just focus on the customer standing in front of us. We don't use any big marketing words or try to act like a huge corporation. We are a local business, through and through. The shop can be a bit dusty because of all the traffic outside, but we try to keep things in order. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the demands of the day, but we are used to the fast pace of Budhwar Peth. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall; we just open the doors and get to work. It’s a simple way of doing business that has worked for us for years at this address.
