Our foundation, Rushimela Indigenousknowledge And Scientific Education Foundation, is based out in Chandan Nagar, Pune. We are located at Sn-38/6, right near the Prakash Pathare House. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a name, we know, but it describes exactly what we care about here. We’ve set up shop in this part of Pune because it feels right for the kind of work we do. It’s not a fancy business park with glass walls. Instead, we are tucked away in a neighborhood where life actually happens every day. Our office is full of books, notes, and various things we’ve collected over time. We spend our days trying to bridge the gap between old ways of knowing and modern science. It sounds complicated, but we just take it one project at a time. There are usually three or four of us here at once, hunched over our laptops or talking through new ideas. The area around Chandan Nagar is pretty lively, so there’s always somewhere to grab a quick bite when we're hungry. We aren't big on formalities here. If you came by, you’d probably find us in jeans and t-shirts just working through our piles of research and papers. We’ve been here for a while and the location suits our needs perfectly. We don't need a high-rise office to do what we do. This small space near Prakash Pathare House is more than enough for our foundation to keep moving forward.
