Rupali Auto Line has been sitting here in Chinchwad for quite a while now. It’s mostly a place full of metal parts, gaskets, and various bits for vehicles. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust and some stray bolts that escaped the bins. We don't have a showroom with shiny cars. Instead, we have shelves and shelves of heavy iron and steel parts. The air usually smells like old rubber and metal. I spend a lot of time wiping down the counter because the grime from the parts gets everywhere. We have a couple of benches where we sort out the stock when it arrives from the manufacturers. The light comes in through the front door mostly, as the back of the shop is pretty dark. We use a lot of handwritten tags for the inventory because it’s faster than using the old computer we have in the corner. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to borrow a wrench or to chat about the local news. It’s a gritty kind of place, but it works for what we do. The Chinchwad traffic keeps us busy with people looking for replacements for their trucks or cars. We don't use any fancy packaging. Things just go out in plain boxes or bags. It’s just a regular auto parts shop where the work is messy but steady. We like it that way.
