Royal Improve

Our shop, Royal Improve, is tucked away in Ram Nagar, over in the Rahatni area of Pune. We’ve been here at the 411 005 zip code for quite some time now. It’s a small place, nothing too big, but it’s where we keep all our supplies and get things ready for the day. Most of our work involves going out to people’s houses and fixing whatever needs it. It could be a leaky pipe one day or some painting the next. We aren't a giant company with a fleet of fancy trucks. It’s just a few of us who know how to use our hands. Usually, the phone rings in the morning and we head out. Some jobs take an hour, others take all week. Pune is growing so fast, and things are always changing around here, but we stay pretty consistent with what we do. The traffic can be a real pain when we’re trying to get across town with a load of wood or tiles. We do our best to show up when we say we will, though sometimes the rain or the roads have other plans. It’s honest work. We know the people in Rahatni and they know us. We don’t spend much time on the computer, we’d rather be out working. It’s just how we run things. On the weekends, I usually spend some time cleaning the tools and organizing the shelves so we’re ready for Monday. The neighbors often pop their heads in to say hello or ask for a quick favor. It’s a friendly enough place. Word of mouth has always been how we get most of our work. People just tell their friends about us.
