You can find us at the Katepuram Chowk in the Manas Building. Shop Number 1 is where we have all our kitchen stuff piled up. We have got stacks of stainless steel pots, pressure cookers, and all the plates and spoons you could ever need for a house. It feels a bit tight inside the shop because we try to keep a lot of inventory on the shelves so people have choices. Families from around Sangavi come here when they need a new pan or if they have a broken handle on their stove that needs fixing. We spend a lot of our time showing customers different sizes of containers and explaining how some lids fit better than others. It gets a bit dusty because we are right near the main road, so we are always wiping the shine back onto the metal. We are not some big showroom with air conditioning. It is just a regular neighborhood shop where you find what you need. Sometimes we have to get the old wooden ladder out to reach the big stock we keep on the top shelves. We have been at this chowk for a good many years now and most people know where we are. We do not do any advertising. We just pull up the shutters in the morning and wait for the locals to walk in. It is just practical, everyday work for us. We just sell what people need for their homes.
