Out here in Nasik, we set up our office at Plot 10 in Panchavati, specifically in the Duttnagar area. It’s a nice part of the city, not too far from the river. The vibe in Nasik is quite different from Pune or Mumbai; it feels a bit more relaxed, even though people are still working hard. Our office is a simple building on a fairly quiet plot. We have a small yard where we sometimes keep samples of stones or tiles that we’re considering for different projects. Inside, it’s just the usual setup—desks, a few computers that are getting a bit slow, and stacks of paperwork that never seems to get shorter no matter how much we do. The staff here is small, just a handful of us who have been together for a long time. We know the local contractors and where to get the sand and gravel in the area. Most days involve a lot of driving around to check on the different plots we are developing. When we’re back at the office, we’re usually just catching up on emails or talking to the guys on the ground about their progress. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a fancy sign or a big lobby. If the gate is open, you just walk in and find someone at a desk. It’s just how we operate. We like the local feel of Duttnagar and being part of the Nasik community for all these years.
