We’ve been at this Shivsrushti Apartment spot for a while now. It’s right near Bhusari Colony, and if you know the area, Kurtkoti Nursing Home is the main landmark everyone uses to find us. Paud Road is usually pretty busy with traffic, so we try to get in early before it gets too noisy outside. Our office is on the ground floor of Plot 47. It’s not a huge fancy place, just a regular workspace where we handle the paperwork for the building projects. Some days it’s quiet, just the sound of the ceiling fan and someone typing, but other days it gets chaotic when the site supervisors come in to drop off reports or argue about supplies. We keep some old files in the back room that probably need sorting out one of these days. There’s a small tea stall just a few steps away where we usually go around four in the evening. Kothrud has changed a lot since we first started here; there are way more apartments now than there used to be. Sometimes it feels like the whole city is just one big construction site. We just keep doing what we do, sitting here at our desks or heading out to check on the progress at the different locations. It’s a decent place to work, even if the parking is a bit of a headache during peak hours. If you’re coming from the highway, you have to watch for the turn carefully or you’ll miss it entirely.
