Chakan is a really busy area these days with all the new stuff going up. Our office is right here in the Tal-Khed area, tucked away. Being in Pune district means there is always some kind of construction happening on every corner. We do a lot of the basic groundwork and the main structures. It is loud and messy, but that is just the way construction is. We have been operating out of A/P Chakan for a long time now. The roads around here are always full of big trucks and dust. We mostly work with the local folks who live nearby. It is definitely not a big corporate setup with people in suits. We are just a bunch of guys who know how to handle the tools and read a basic blueprint. Sometimes the supply of sand becomes a real problem, or the heavy rain stops everything for a week in July. You just have to deal with it. We have a small yard for keeping the equipment when we aren't using it. People often drop by to ask about house extensions or simple wall repairs. We do not have a receptionist sitting at a desk. If the phone rings and we are up on a roof, we might miss the call. Just leave a message and we will get back to you later. Building things takes a lot of time and patience. You really cannot rush the concrete when it is setting. We try to be fair with how we work. Nothing fancy, just solid walls and decent floors.
