Rithinking Philanthropy Foundation

We’ve been at Ganga Satelite in Wanawadi for a bit now. Flat 501, Building A9 is where you can find us. It’s a quiet spot, which is good because we do a lot of thinking. We mostly spend our time looking at how people give money and if that help is actually doing anything useful. It felt like the old ways of doing things weren't really sticking anymore. So, we started this foundation. We aren't a big office with people in suits. It’s just us here in Pune trying to figure out better ways to help out. Sometimes we just sit around and talk for hours about what's going on in the neighborhood or how the city is changing. Philanthropy sounds like a big, fancy word, but really it's just about being decent to each other. We look at different projects and try to see where the gaps are. The traffic in Wanawadi can be a bit of a mess some days, especially during peak hours, but we manage to get things done. We aren't experts at everything, just people trying to change the approach a little bit. It’s not about having a flashy website or a big name. We just want to make sure the help gets where it needs to go without a hundred hurdles in the way. People drop by sometimes, and we just have tea and talk about the work. It's slow work, but it feels right doing it this way. We’ve been at S N 69 for a while, and the neighbors know us. We don't have all the answers, but we're trying.
