Rise And Awake Foundation

We are based on the 2nd Floor of the City Centre building in Erandvana. If you know the CTS-39/2 area in Pune, you know it’s a spot that’s always moving. Rise And Awake Foundation isn't a massive operation with a hundred employees. We are just a small group on the second floor of a commercial building. The hallway is usually filled with the sounds of other businesses, but our office is a bit of a quiet corner. We chose this name because we wanted to encourage people to get up and do something for their community. Most of our work involves organizing small local events or helping people find the right resources. The office is pretty basic—just some desks, a few laptops, and a lot of notebooks. We don't have a lot of money for decorations or fancy furniture. We just focus on the tasks at hand. Erandvana is a great place to be because there are so many students and young professionals around, so there’s always energy in the air. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall or anything like that. We just come in every morning, check what needs to be done, and try to make a small difference. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and other days we just chat over tea.
