Retired From Oveseas Company

After spending so many years working for an overseas company, I finally decided to pack my bags and come back to Pune. I live over at 9/10 Amba Nagari on Dhanori Road now. It is quite a change from being abroad but I missed the local food and the way people talk here in Vishrantwadi. My house is usually a bit of a mess with all the things I brought back from my travels. I have stories from different countries but mostly I just want to relax and enjoy the weather here. People always ask me what it was like working in another country and I tell them it was just work like anywhere else. Now I just take life one day at a time. I walk down Dhanori Road to get my groceries and sometimes I sit at the local tea shop. I don’t follow a strict schedule anymore which is a nice change from the corporate world I left behind. My home is simple and I like it that way. I do a bit of consulting if someone asks but mostly I am just a guy who came back home to settle down. Pune-411015 has changed since I was young but the heart of it is still the same. I spend my afternoons reading or just watching the traffic go by from my balcony. It’s a quiet life and I’m happy with it. I’ve realized that you don’t need much to be comfortable once you stop rushing around everywhere.
