Rescale India Foundation

You can find us at Flat No. B-606 in the Sky View building over in Fursungi. It’s near Royal Haveli, which most people around Pune know pretty well. Rescale India Foundation is just a small group of us working from this residential spot. Fursungi has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings going up, and it gets quite crowded on the roads during the morning hours. We started this because we felt like things in the country needed a bit of a shift in scale, hence the name. Our office is basically a living room with some computers and a tea kettle that’s always running. We don't have fancy receptionists or boardrooms. Most of our day is spent on the phone or answering emails from people who need a hand with local projects. Being up on the sixth floor gives us a decent view of the area, which is nice when things get stressful. We try to keep our work simple and honest. We don’t have some grand corporate strategy. We just look at what’s in front of us and try to make it work better. Sometimes the neighbors wonder what we’re up to with all the files we carry in and out, but we’re just regular people trying to do something useful. If the lift is working, it’s a quick trip up to see us, but we’re usually buried in work anyway.
