Regal Hardware

Regal Hardware is tucked into Raviwar Peth at number 1039. If you know Raviwar Peth, you know it’s a maze of shops and narrow lanes. We’ve been here for a long time, selling all the small bits and pieces people need. Screws, bolts, hinges, tools—it’s all squeezed onto the shelves. The shop is narrow and the ceiling is high, so we have ladders everywhere to reach the top boxes. It’s dusty work, and our hands are usually a bit dirty from handling metal all day. We don't have a computer system that tells us where everything is; we just know by memory. Customers come in looking for one specific washer or a certain type of lock, and we usually have it buried somewhere. It’s a busy atmosphere with people shouting orders and trucks trying to squeeze through the street outside. We aren't fancy and we don't have air conditioning, but we have the stuff you can't find at the big malls. Most of the other shop owners nearby are our friends. We’ve seen the neighborhood change, but the need for good hardware stays the same. People come to us because they know we won't try to sell them something they don't need. It’s just a regular hardware store run by people who know their tools. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in and sleeps on the counter, but nobody seems to mind it much.
