Rasoi Dining Hall

Rasoi Dining Hall has been part of Shaniwar Peth for a long time. You can find us right on the 1st Main in Brindavan Nagar 324. It’s an old building and we’ve tried to keep it as it was when we first moved in. The floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out over the years. We mostly serve people who live nearby or work in the small shops around the corner. It is a dining hall, so people sit together and eat what is prepared for the day. We don't have a massive menu with a hundred items. We just make a few things and we make them in big pots. The steam fills the room by eleven in the morning. Our staff is small, mostly family and a couple of helpers who have been with us since the start. It gets a bit chaotic when the weekend hits and families start showing up. We try to keep the water glasses full and the plates moving. No one comes here for the decor, they just come because it feels like eating at a neighbor's house. Sometimes the lights flicker when the weather is bad, but we keep the doors open anyway. It’s just how we live and work here in this part of town. We are happy to be here. We hope to stay right in this spot for many more years to come.
