Being on MG Road in Pune is something else. The street is always full of life and noise, which keeps us on our toes at the Raosaheb Shankar Ramchandra Panhale Foundation. Our address is 128, and it’s a spot we’ve been in for a while now. This isn't some corporate glass building. It’s a place where we actually sit down and get things done. We named it after family, which makes it personal for everyone involved. We don't have fancy brochures. Most of what we do is just talking to people who come through the door. It gets crowded on the weekends out there, so we usually try to wrap up our main tasks during the week. We handle a lot of requests from around the city. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks, and it looks a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It’s a small team, mostly just folks who live nearby or have been in Pune their whole lives. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. It’s just daily work, helping out where it makes sense. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall nearby and just figure out the week's schedule. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We like the history of this road and being part of it feels right. It’s simple and we stay busy.
