Rajdhani Restaurant

We are located near the Congress Bhavan Road in Shivaji Nagar, right in the Linkway Estate area. It is a bit of a maze around here with the small lanes and all the traffic from Yugay Plaza nearby. Getting to the restaurant in the morning usually means navigating through a lot of parked bikes and people walking to their offices. This Rajdhani has been a part of the daily routine for a lot of locals. We open the doors and the smell of the stove starting up fills the small room. It gets pretty cramped when the lunch rush hits at one o'clock, but everyone seems to find a stool or a chair eventually. The building is easy to find if you know the landmark near J M Road. I spend most of my day making sure the kitchen hasn't run out of anything. We go through a lot of supplies every week. It is not about being the most modern or polished place in Pune. It is just about being reliable for the people who work nearby. We see students, office people, and some families too. Some stay for a long chat, while others just eat and run back to work. The walls could probably use some new paint soon, but they hold the memories of many years. We do not use any complicated recipes or fancy tricks. It is just standard food done the way we were taught.
