You’ll find us at W-162 in the ‘S’ Block of the MIDC area. Being in the industrial zone means we are surrounded by other people doing much the same thing as us—making stuff and fixing stuff. Raise Machine Tools has been operating out of this unit for quite a while. It’s a big space, which is good because machine tools take up a lot of room. We aren't much for office politics or corporate slogans. We’re mostly concerned with whether the machines are calibrated correctly and if the shipping crates are sturdy enough. Most days, we’re wearing work boots and carrying clipboards. The ‘S’ Block can be a bit confusing with all the similar-looking buildings, but we’ve got our name on the door. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't currently busy with a machine. We try to be fair with our prices and honest about how long a job will take. If we say it’ll be done by Tuesday, we do our best to make that happen, though sometimes parts get delayed and we have to make some calls. It’s just a standard industrial life, nothing too exciting, but it’s what we know. We value the quiet moments when the machines are off and we can just sit and have a chat before heading home for the day.
