Pune Knowledge Cluster Foundation

We are located right inside the IUCAA building on the University of Pune campus in Ganeshkhind. It is a pretty large area to navigate if you aren’t used to it. Most days start with the sound of birds because of all the old trees around the campus. Our office isn't anything fancy, just a few desks and a lot of books and papers piled up. We spend a lot of time looking at screens or talking to people who walk in from the other departments. The walk from the main gate takes a bit of time, especially when it’s hot outside in April or May. We usually grab tea at the small canteen nearby during the afternoon lull. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow when everyone is on it at once, but we make do. The Ganeshkhind road outside is always packed with cars and bikes, so once you get inside the campus gates, it feels like a different world entirely. It’s mostly quiet except for the occasional student group walking by or the noise of construction that seems to happen every few months somewhere on the grounds. We’ve been here for a while and the office has that lived-in smell of old paper and dusty shelves. It’s a practical space for what we do, nothing more and nothing less. We don't have a big reception desk or anything, just a door that stays open most of the day. It gets a bit chilly in the winter mornings here.
