Project Engineer (Civil)

Our office is located at 59/4 in the Gajanan Housing Society. We are right near the Vikhe Patil High School in the Mukund Nagar area of Ahmednagar. I handle the civil engineering side of our projects from here. It’s a regular residential neighborhood, so it stays pretty calm during the day while the kids are in school. My work involves a lot of structural stuff, making sure the foundations and the bones of the buildings are solid. I spend a good amount of time looking at site photos and checking measurements. It’s not the most exciting thing to talk about, but it’s important. The office itself is just a simple room with a couple of desks and a lot of binders full of regulations and permits. Ahmednagar is a decent place to work. It’s not as fast-paced as Mumbai or Pune, but we still have plenty to do. I like being near the school because it makes it easy for people to give directions to the office. We don't have any fancy receptionists or anything. Usually, if you knock on the door, I’m the one who answers it. It’s a very direct way of doing business. I’ve been a civil engineer for a long time, and this setup in Mukund Nagar works just fine for me. We just focus on getting the buildings up safely. There is always a new problem to solve but that's just the nature of the job.
