Proficons Electronic Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd.

Our shop is over at 66/7 in the D-2 Block of the MIDC area in Chinchwad. It’s a typical industrial spot, lots of grey buildings and the sound of machinery in the air. Proficons Electronic Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this space for years. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a tour, it’s just where we build things. The workshop floor is organized in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. We’ve got soldering stations, test equipment, and boxes of parts stacked up near the loading dock. Most of the guys here have been working together for a long time, so we have a rhythm. We don’t do big strategy meetings; we just talk over coffee or while we’re finishing a batch of boards. The MIDC area is always busy, and sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we’re always cleaning off the equipment. It’s honest work. We deal with the heat in the summer and the leaks in the roof when it rains really hard. It’s just part of being in an older industrial zone. We aren’t a huge corporation with a human resources department or a fancy website. It’s just a group of people who know how to put electronics together. We keep our heads down and try to do a decent job every day.
