Our spot is located in Chinchwad, right behind the Gurudwara and near the big transformer on Survey Number 140. It is a bit of a specific location to find, but once you’re here, you’ll see we are right in the middle of the industrial vibe of Pune. Amol and the rest of us work out of Shivaji Shiudkar’s place here. We deal with energy transmission, which basically means we are involved in the parts of the power system that move electricity from one place to another. It’s heavy-duty stuff. The area around Chinchwad is always moving, with a lot of workshops and factories nearby. We spend a lot of time checking on cables, transformers, and making sure the grid stays stable. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We are usually out in the field or looking at technical drawings at the office. The heat in Pune can get pretty intense, but we just keep at it. Having the Gurudwara nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We’ve been operating in this part of Pune for a long time, so we’ve seen how the infrastructure has changed over the years. It’s a lot of responsibility to handle power systems, but we just take it one day at a time. The work is steady and keeps us on our toes. There is always something new to learn about how the city gets its power.
