Prakash Tyres

We are located at number 3 in the Meghdut Complex, right in Tilak Nagar over in Hadapsar. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty crowded with vehicles. Our shop is mostly filled with tires of all different sizes stacked up against the walls. There is that strong smell of rubber the moment you walk in, which is something we don't even notice anymore. We spend a lot of time out on the pavement checking air pressure or swapping out old worn-down tires for new ones. It’s a lot of lifting and rolling. The jacks and wrenches are always out. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of stools if someone wants to sit while we work on their wheels. Sometimes a puncture repair takes ten minutes, other times we are busy with a whole set of new treads. The traffic on the road near Meghdut Complex never really stops, so we hear a lot of horns all day. We just keep doing what we do. Prakash is usually around checking the stock or talking to the delivery drivers who bring in the new shipments. It’s a bit of a greasy job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We just try to keep the cars moving and the customers on their way. There is no mystery to it, just wheels and tires and a lot of hard work every day.
