Our office is at 4 Shivaji Nagar, on Abbas Galbhai Street near Grant Road. If you know Mumbai, you know that Grant Road is one of the most crowded and noisy places you can be. Abbas Galbhai Street is no different. It’s an old part of the city with narrow lanes and buildings that have seen better days. We are tucked away in one of those buildings. Inside, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the horns honking outside. We have old wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been here since we started. The floors are a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it has a lot of character. We handle a variety of business matters from this small office. There’s usually a stack of ledgers on the table and a phone that rings more often than we’d like. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or modern office furniture. It’s a very traditional way of working. Most of our day is spent talking to people or writing things down. We drink a lot of chai to keep us going through the afternoon. It’s a small operation, but we’ve been around long enough to know the ins and outs of the neighborhood. We just take things one day at a time in this busy corner of the city, keeping up with the work.
