Poona Neons

You can find us at 1089, Shukrawar Peth. We are in the Muni Subrat Building. It’s right opposite Sushil Lodge and just behind the Naik Biyane Swargate Corner. This is an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and it’s always crowded with people and scooters. We work with neons and signs. Our workshop is filled with glass tubes and different lights. It’s a bit of an old-school trade. We’ve been in Shukrawar Peth for a long time. It’s a very traditional neighborhood. We don’t have a modern office with glass walls. It’s more of a traditional shop where we’ve been doing things the same way for years. We see a lot of activity outside our window since we’re near the Swargate corner. It’s a busy intersection. People often stop by just because they’re passing through the area. We do our best to get the signs finished when we say we will, but sometimes things take a bit longer if the design is complicated or the materials are slow to arrive. We don’t have a website or a marketing person. Most people just know us because we’ve been here so long. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the equipment, but we make it work. It’s just a normal day of bending tubes and checking connections for us. We like the history of this area and being right in the middle of Shukrawar Peth.
