We are located over at 23 A in Ashok Society. It’s right there in Durganagar, just off Senapati Bapat Road here in Pune. 411016 is the area code if you are looking it up. This place has been around for a long time. It isn't like those modern clubs with glass walls and neon lights. The building has some character and the furniture shows its age, but it’s comfortable. We spend our days making sure the place is running okay. There’s always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a leaky pipe or a flickering light. The gardens out front need a lot of watering, especially when the heat picks up. We have a small staff and we’ve all been here for years. We know the people who come in quite well. It’s a quiet spot in a busy city. People come here to just sit or talk for a while. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most folks just know we are here. The routine is the same every day. We open the gates early and stay until the last person leaves. Sometimes it gets a bit loud on the weekends, but mostly it is peaceful. It’s just a local club for the people around here. We don't have a big mission or anything. Just a place to be. We keep the tea hot and the rooms ready. It’s a simple life at the club.
