Pimpri-Chinchawad Muncipal Corporation

Working for the municipal corporation here in Pune means there is always something going on. Our offices are spread out, but we are all part of the same big machine that keeps Pimpri-Chinchwad running. It isn’t always easy, and the paperwork can pile up pretty high on any given Tuesday. We see a lot of people coming in with questions about their water bills or road repairs. Some days the halls are crowded, and other days it’s just the hum of fans and the sound of staplers. We aren't here to make things look pretty; we're here to manage the town’s needs. It's a lot of practical stuff like garbage routes and street lights. Every staff member has a specific desk, and most of us have been here long enough to know exactly which drawer the old maps are in. We deal with the public every single day, which means we hear all kinds of stories. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, with all the different departments and files, but we manage to find what we need eventually. We don’t have a lot of time for polished speeches. We just try to get through the list of tasks the city throws at us. Being in Maharashtra, we have our busy seasons, especially when the rains come and everyone is worried about the drains. It’s just honest work for the local community.
