We’re based out in Warje, in a flat at Chintamani Garden. It’s on the second floor of Wing D, and it’s where we handle all the developer work for the project. Pune has grown so much, and Tapodham Road is always busy with people moving around. Our office at flat 105 isn't what you’d expect for a developer; it’s basically a converted apartment. We have our desks set up in the living area, and the kitchen is where we make the coffee that keeps us going. Mahendra Mandlapure and the rest of us spend our days looking over floor plans and dealing with all the paperwork that comes with real estate and development. It can get a bit crowded when we have a lot of files to go through, but we make it work. We’re right in the middle of a residential area, so it feels very much like a part of the community. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy lobby. People usually just find us by the wing and flat number. We talk to a lot of different people, from contractors to local authorities, and it’s mostly just straightforward business. There’s no script for how we talk to clients; we just tell them how things are going with the construction. It’s a busy life, but we like being right here in the thick of things in Warje and seeing the buildings go up.
