Perfect Tools & Dies

The shop is tucked away in Pandurang Industrial Estate, specifically Shop No 27. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the Gulve Vasti area or the turn-offs near Bhosari. We’ve been at this spot for years, dealing with all kinds of tool and die work. The address says Malad East too, which can be confusing for some people, but once they find Haji Bapu Road, they usually get to us eventually. Inside, it's always a bit noisy. You can't really avoid the clanging of metal when you're working on dies all day. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. Most days, I’m covered in grease by noon. We don’t have a big sales team or anyone to answer phones in a fancy way. Usually, I’m the one picking up the phone with one hand while holding a wrench in the other. If you walk in, you’ll probably see a lot of scrap metal in the corners and drawings taped to the walls. We take our time with the work because rushing just leads to mistakes, and we don't like doing things twice. Lunch is usually something from a tiffin box eaten quickly while sitting on a crate. It’s a simple setup. We focus on the machines and making sure the parts fit right. That's really all there is to our daily life at the shop. We don't have much to say, we just do it.
