We are based at 8, Sonia Apartment in the Rambaug Colony, which is just off Paud Road in Pune. It is a decent area, though it has gotten much more crowded over the last few years. Patankar Kale Construction Pvt Ltd has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. Our office is on the ground floor, so we see people walking their dogs or kids coming home from school all day long. Inside, it’s a bit of a mess with blueprints, samples of tiles, and empty tea cups scattered around. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and find one of us buried under some paperwork. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things, though we stay busy enough. The fans hum constantly to keep the Pune heat at bay. We don't spend our time writing fancy mission statements or trying to look bigger than we are. We just focus on the projects we have in hand. Sometimes we spend hours debating over a small detail in a floor plan. It’s just real people doing real work. We know the local shops where we get our stationery and the guy who delivers our lunch. There’s a certain comfort in the routine of this place. We aren't looking to change the world, just to keep doing our construction work steadily and honestly in the heart of the city. We just get on with it.
