Paris Maternity Home & Sonography

Our place, Paris Maternity Home & Sonography, is on the first floor of the Kohinoor Arcade. We are right by the Nigdi Square on the Mumbai Pune Road, which is a very busy intersection. Because of the location, there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside, but we’ve done our best to make the inside feel a bit more peaceful. This is a maternity home, so we see a lot of expectant mothers coming in for their sonography appointments or check-ups. The sonography room is a bit cramped because the machine takes up so much space, but it works well. We have a few rooms for women who are staying here after giving birth. The walls are painted a soft blue, though some spots could use a fresh coat of paint. There are magazines on the table in the waiting area that are probably a year old. The staff is mostly nurses who have been doing this for years and they are very practical about their work. They spend their shifts checking vitals and helping out with the newborns. It can get pretty loud when several babies start crying at once, but that is part of the job. We don't have any corporate branding or polished brochures. It is just a local medical facility in Nigdi where life happens every day. We focus on getting the work done and looking after the people who come in.
