Our place is over in Kalamboli, specifically Plot No 182/ 183 in Sector 23. This is the heart of the Marble Market, so as you can imagine, it is a very industrial sort of area. We are right near the petrol pump, which makes it easy for the truck drivers to find us. The yard is big because we have to store a lot of ceramic tiles and heavy slabs. It’s a dusty environment, and the sound of forklifts is pretty much the background music to our day. We spend most of our time outside or in the open warehouse area rather than sitting in a fancy office. When customers come by, they usually have their work boots on because they’re in the middle of a project. We show them what we have in stock, help them calculate the square footage, and then get to loading the vehicles. It’s physical work and can be pretty tiring when the sun is out, but it’s what we know how to do. We don't have any slick sales pitches or polished brochures. People come here because they know the Marble Market is where you get the bulk of the building materials. We’ve been at this plot for a while, seeing the market grow and change. It’s just a straightforward operation where we focus on moving tiles and making sure the crates are handled properly for whoever walks into the yard.
