Started the shop in Bhosari because that’s where things happen. 75 is just a number on the door, but inside, it is always noisy. We mostly handle small jobs that others don't want to bother with. Some days the machines act up and we spend half the morning fixing them. It isn’t fancy here. There’s a lot of metal scraps and oil on the floor. Most of us have been working together for a few years now. We know each other's moods. If someone is late, we just start their machine. It’s not a big corporate setup where everything is timed to the second. We take our tea breaks when the work allows. Sometimes a customer walks in with a part that needs fixing right away, and we try to see what can be done. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer. We just open the shutters wider and keep going. You won’t find any glossy brochures here. We mostly rely on the fact that people around here know where we are. It’s just a regular place doing regular work. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we always stay until the job is finished. The neighborhood is changing, more shops are opening, but we’re still here at the same spot in Bhosari, doing what we know. It is basic, honest work and that is enough for us.
