P S Chandiok

P S Chandiok is over in Wanawadi, inside the Army Welfare Housing Society. It is at J/19. If you have ever been inside an army society, you know how it is. It is very quiet compared to the rest of Pune. The trees are tall and there is a lot of shade when you walk from the gate. I have been here for quite some time now. My setup is simple and I don't really have a big sign outside or anything like that. Most people who come to see me are either neighbors or people who heard about the place from someone else in the society. It is a peaceful way to work. Sometimes I can hear the kids playing in the park nearby or the sound of someone’s scooter starting up three blocks away. The walls are painted a plain off-white and I have some old wooden furniture that has stayed with me through the years. I don’t feel the need to change much. The space is comfortable and it serves its purpose. Dealing with things here is much better than being in a crowded market. I usually start my day quite early when the birds are still loud. By the time evening rolls around, the society lights come on and everything feels very calm. It is just a regular office space where things get done without any rush or fancy talk.
