We are set up right across from the Tamboli Masjid on Laxmi Road. If you know anything about Raviwar Peth, you know how packed the streets get, especially during the busy afternoon hours. Our office at Survey No 719 has been our main base for quite some time now. It can be a real struggle navigating through the traffic and the crowds moving along Mahatma Gandhi Road just to get to the door. The building itself is quite old and shows its age, but it serves our needs just fine. We handle all the international side of the business from these rooms. It is mostly just desks, piles of paperwork, and the sound of phones ringing throughout the day. Often, the call to prayer from the mosque across the street is the only thing that helps us keep track of how the day is passing. We started out as a very small operation and just kept moving forward one step at a time. There are a few of us working here, mostly local people who live in the nearby neighborhoods. We do not spend any money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture because we are usually far too busy dealing with the logistics of our shipments. Dealing with different time zones means that someone is often in the office very late at night or extremely early in the morning. It is not exactly what you would call a glamorous job, but it is steady and honest work. We see a lot of people coming and going in the Peth area every day. Finding a parking spot is a constant headache around here, so most of us just leave the cars at home and take a scooter or just walk. The office gets a bit dusty with the windows open, but we prefer the fresh air when the weather is not too hot. We have been a part of this street for many years and know the neighbors well.
