Our place is at 11 Gultekdi Arti Chowk, right where the traffic usually builds up in the afternoons. Origami Machines isn't a huge factory, just a decent-sized setup where we put things together. The name sounds a bit different, but we mostly just focus on making sure the machines we work on actually run the way they should. The floor is usually a bit messy with scraps and metal bits, but that’s just how it goes when you’re actually working. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge; if you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our work shirts trying to fix something or testing a new unit. Gultekdi is a good spot for us because it’s easy for the transport guys to find, even if the chowk gets a bit chaotic sometimes. We have a couple of old desks for the billing and some chairs that have seen better days. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can see everything that’s happening. If a customer has a problem, they usually just call and talk to whoever picks up. We don’t use any complicated software for our daily tasks, just some notebooks and a basic computer. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late if a machine is being stubborn, but mostly we try to head home when the sun goes down.
