Onesteel Steel & Tube, Wetherill Park, (Australia)

Our office is over at E 11, Ayodhya Nagari on Bhau Patil Road in the Bopodi area of Pune. It is a bit of an interesting setup because while the company name mentions Wetherill Park in Australia, we are right here in Maharashtra. We deal mostly with steel and tube products for the local market. It is heavy work, and the logistics of moving metal around are always a bit of a puzzle to solve. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and transport companies. The office in Pune is where we handle the orders and keep track of where everything is going. It is a simple space, mostly just computers, phones, and a lot of price lists for different types of steel. Bhau Patil Road can get quite crowded with traffic, so we have to plan our deliveries carefully to avoid the worst of it. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles in this office. We just focus on getting the right specifications and making sure the tubes and steel sheets get to the workshops or construction sites where they are needed. It is a lot of numbers and measurements. Sometimes we get orders that are hard to fill, but we do what we can to find the right materials. The team is small, and we have all been doing this long enough that we don't need much supervision. We just show up and do the work.
