You can find us on the 4th floor of a building in Prem Nagar, right above the Rupee Bank branch. It is on Pune Satara Road, almost opposite the Lokesh Hotel and quite close to Rao Hospital. It is a busy junction, so there are always people and cars moving around. Konark Filters has been in this spot for a long time. Walking up those four floors every day keeps us fit, even though the lift works most of the time. The office has plenty of windows, but the view is just the busy road and the traffic below. We focus on filters, so the place is often cluttered with different types of mesh and metal casings. It is not the kind of office you would see in a magazine. We have old metal cupboards for our files and desks that are usually piled high with papers and drawings. The staff here is a mix of younger guys and some who have been here since the very beginning. We probably talk more about local cricket scores than we do about business strategies. We just get the work done. When a customer calls with a question, we usually just walk over to the shelf to check the actual part instead of looking at a computer. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We deal with the dust from the road and the noise from the hospital nearby. We are just a local business trying to help people out.
