We are based out in Taluka Mulshi, specifically at Plot No. 15 in MIDC Phase-II. It's a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where all the industrial action happens. Nord Drivesystems has a decent-sized setup across these plots, 282/2 and 283/2. It’s mostly just big machines and people in work clothes. The air smells like oil and metal most days, which is fine once you’re here for an hour. We work on drive systems, which sounds complicated but it’s really just about keeping things turning. There’s a lot of assembly work and checking parts. The floor gets noisy when everything is running at once. We don’t have a big corporate lobby with plants. It’s a functional place. We drink a lot of coffee in the break room when the shifts change. Sometimes things break down and we have to stay late to get them fixed. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. The MIDC area is pretty dusty, especially when the trucks roll through in the afternoon. We just focus on getting the units built and shipped out. It's practical work for people who don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us by name. It’s a long day, but we get things done and head home.
