Noah The Luggage Shop

Opening up early on Laxmi Road is a bit of a ritual for us. The traffic is already starting to pick up by eight, and you can hear the horns from across the street near the Rupee Bank. We are right here at 695 A, Sadashiv Peth, and the shop is usually packed to the ceiling with all sorts of bags and suitcases. Honestly, there isn’t much floor space left because of the new stock that arrived yesterday, so you have to watch your step. It’s just how things are here at Noah The Luggage Shop. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside when the breeze picks up, so we spend a lot of our time wiping down the bags. My cousin usually handles the heavy lifting when deliveries come in, while I try to keep the books straight, though I’m not always the best at it. We’ve got everything from school bags for the local kids to big trunks for families moving away. It’s funny seeing what people choose. Some want the bright red ones so they don't lose them at the airport. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just shelves and stacks of luggage. The tea guy comes by around ten, and that’s usually the highlight of our morning. It gets really hot in the afternoon when the sun hits the front window, but the ceiling fan helps a little bit. We’ve been in this spot for a while now.
