Nilesh Saswade

I’m Nilesh Saswade and I’ve been working out of this spot at 477 Rasta Peth, right near the Thaltej Cross Road, for quite some time now. It’s a busy intersection and there’s always something going on outside the window, which can be a bit distracting. My workspace is just a simple room with enough space for my things and a couple of chairs for when someone drops by to talk. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a design magazine. There are books and papers everywhere, and I usually have a small radio playing quietly in the background so it’s not too silent. I spend most of my day dealing with whatever comes across my desk, whether it’s planning out a new project or just catching up on emails that I’ve been ignoring. Rasta Peth has its own energy, and I’ve grown to like the noise of the street. It makes me feel like I’m part of the city while I’m tucked away working on my own. I don't really do the whole corporate thing with the suits and the meetings. I just prefer to keep things straightforward and honest. If a job needs doing, I do it, and if I don't know the answer to a question, I go look it up until I find it. It’s just me here most of the time, so I handle everything from the actual work to cleaning up the floor at the end of the day. It’s a quiet way to get things done.
