We operate out of Zopadi No. 52, which is located in Sathe Patilwasti along Degaon Road. It’s a very specific spot, and if you aren’t from around here, you might have to ask for directions, but the locals know it well. The space is modest, just a basic room where we’ve set up our workspace. We have some tables pushed together and a few chairs for when people come to visit. Being on Degaon Road means we get to see the local life of the basti every single day. It’s a lively area with lots of kids playing and people going about their business. Our work involves keeping track of the small bits of money that people trust us with. We use a lot of paper registers because sometimes they are more reliable than the old computer we have. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. When you walk in, you just talk to whoever is sitting at the desk. We are all from this area, so we understand the local way of doing things. It’s not a fancy setup at all, but it works for what we need to do. We focus on the numbers and making sure every person’s records are up to date. It’s a simple life and a simple business here on Degaon Road. We try to keep things friendly and straightforward for everyone who stops by.
